Leeds Christkindelmarkt and Ice Cube
Winter has become one of our busiest times of year, with these two enchanting events in Millennium Square, Leeds.
The Christkindelmarkt, which extends into Cookridge Street and the Headrow, is one of Yorkshire’s most authentic Christmas markets. As well as festive stalls selling unique gifts and warming winter treats such as Bratwurst and Glühwein, the event also features a traditional English carousel plus other family-friendly rides and attractions.
Just weeks after the Christkindelmarkt has left town, we’re back in Millennium Square with the Ice Cube. Staged for a full month, including the February half-term holidays, the event includes a large undercover ice rink plus winter-themed rides. Ice princesses welcome!
Leeds City Beach and Huddersfield Beach
Every summer, we bring a taste of the seaside to the Headrow in Leeds and Huddersfield’s Greenhead Park. Each event features a giant sand pit with buckets and spades, deckchairs, decking, bamboo huts, palm trees a beach BBQ and fairground rides.
Entry to the ‘beach’ in Leeds is provided completely free (with added charges for rides and attractions), transforming this city centre site into a popular holiday hangout for local families.
Hull Big Weekend
Held in the city’s East Park, the event includes a free stunt show, fantastic arena events, rides, attractions and more.
Sheffield Thunder Theme Park
Wristband fairs like this are becoming popular in some locations as they offers families unlimited rides or an all-inclusive price.
Scarborough Fair
So famous Simon & Garfunkel wrote a song about it, this classic funfair brings family entertainment to the North Yorkshire seaside each September.
Doncaster Big Bang Firework Spectacular
Bringing our traditional fairground season to a close with a great big bang, this Bonfire Night presentation takes places at the home of Doncaster Rovers. The South Yorkshire town is also home to our Easter holiday fair each spring at Doncaster Leisure Park.
